Meet Diane

Diane Broussard-Hall & her Associates are committed to excellence in service and results. Her clients enjoy a team effort to help satisfy their real estate needs.
Diane is a member of the Re/Max Gold and Platinum Clubs and a lifetime El Dorado County Top Achiever as well as a Top 5% Listing and Selling Agent. In 2006 Diane was entered into the Remax Hall of Fame and awarded for the third year in a row a Top Ten Team standing for all of Remax Gold California.

About Diane, Diane has been a top real estate sales achiever since 1990. Her experience in real estate and previous years in land development provide her with the knowledge she needs to give you the best guidance in buying a home or buying land to build a new home. Diane has lived in South El Dorado County since 1976, and has been involved in real estate land development and sales for 31 years. She became a full time licensed Realtor in 1990 and has since become one of the top producing agents in the county. She is the only South County agent to join the million-dollar club every year since 1990. In 1991 she was selected as El Dorado County representative for Select Equestrian Properties, a cooperative referral network of Equestrian Real Estate Agents throughout the U.S.

Upon moving to the foothills, her then husband and she owned a land development company, which has greatly enhanced her knowledge as a real estate agent. Building homes and developing properties has helped her to understand the needs of her clients.

She has three children who have all gone to the local schools. Her oldest son Jason graduated from Cal. Lutheran University with a degree in sales and marketing. Her daughter Heather, has a master of Law degree from McGeorge University. Her youngest son Joshua, played basketball at Irvine College while working on his communications major. She can speak very confidently about the high quality of the local school system. Heather is working on land development projects and has worked as a defense attorney in the town of Jackson..as well as currently in Hollywood ! Diane believes in a team effort and her family works hard to serve their clientele.

Diane’s team has ranked in the top ten teams in all of Remax Gold of Northern California for the last 5 years in a row and is in the top 50 teams of all of Remax Cal. and Hawaii. Diane is also a Remax Platinum Club Member and Life Member of El Dorado Country Top Achievers. In 2006 Diane was entered into the Remax Hall of Fame.

Diane has been involved with horses all her life. She and her daughter Heather have been showing horses since she was 4 years old. Diane has participated in just about every equestrian discipline from rodeo to dressage. She was the local 4-H horse leader and gave riding lessons. Currently Diane owns a quarter horse and new paint horse who she plans on showing in 2008 at the paint horse futurities. Diane rides with Bobbie Emmons show horses in Plymouth, California.

Because El Dorado County has some of the best horse properties around, her background in the equine industry enhances her sales ability.

Diane takes great pride in her ability to blend the technical nature of a real estate transaction with a personal touch. She feels it is very important to listen to her clients needs and try to find them what THEY want, not what she wants, or what is convenient to show. She specializes in Ranch Properties and sometimes travels to three different counties to find THE RIGHT ONE.

Real Estate Tips

Financing Your Home >ARMs

Here is a tip for those who are shopping for Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARMs): the "margin" is almost as important as the initial rate. The margin is the percentage point above the average yields for Treasury notes on which future rate adjustments will be calculated.

Let's compare two hypothetical one-year ARMs. The first may have an initial interest rate of 7% with a 2.5 margin, while the second begins at 6 7/8% with a 2.75 margin. Both loans have rate caps of 2%. Suppose that at the end of the first year of the loan, the average of the one-year Treasury note yield has been 5 1/2%. For each loan, the lenders will add the margin to that 5 1/2% average yield. Thus the interest rate for first loan would increase from 7% to 8%, and the second would go from 6 7/8% to 8 1/4%. While the first ARM had a slightly higher initial rate, it will have lower rates in subsequent years, unless the Treasury note rates increase enough to activate the annual caps on the amount of the increase. There is a wide variance among margins in ARMs offered by competing lenders, and this should be a factor when you decide on your loan.
